A week that was …

24 Nov

Even with all this crazy back and forth weather, Fall is still here to stay and so is the Thanksgiving holiday.

Tomorrow is the day we’ve all been waiting for; to give thanks with our loved ones to our Father for all He has given us.

This week has been short and not much has happened. My job (The ATM) had their annual Thanksgiving Holiday celebration where everyone brought in a dish and we all enjoyed the food and company of other co-workers.

And boy, did we eat good!

I’m really going to miss working up here with all these wonderful people. It’s crazy to think I started here freshman year and now, I’m almost ready to move on.

Last night the Lady Pirates took on the Richmond Spiders in the Convocation Center. The lady pirates lost but it was still a great game.

I hope everyone enjoys their short time off from school. Give thanks always and do it all for the love.

Until next time, Happy Thanksgiving!

Vick lights up the Redskins

16 Nov

Last month’s loss to the Redskins may still have been on the Eagles minds last night, but you couldn’t tell.

As a matter of fact, Michael Vick’s injury in the Redskins 17-12 win over Philadelphia last month may have very well been on his mind as well, but by the way Vick gave a stellar performance last night, you could tell he was the least bit worried about that happening again.

On a day the Washington Redskins planned on celebrating Donovan McNabb’s new contract extension, Vick spoiled the celebration by putting up record-breaking numbers in a 59-28 win Monday night.

Vick, looking like an early candidate for MVP, accounted for six touchdowns. He became the first player in NFL history with at least 300 yards passing, 50 yards rushing, four passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in a game. He hasn’t thrown an interception or lost a fumble this season.

Vick said this was probably one of the best overall games he has played in his NFL career.

“I’ve had some great games in my day,” Vick said. “But I don’t think I’ve had one quite like this one.”

The Eagles led 35-0 at the start of the second quarter. Vick completed his first 10 passes and finished 20 for 28 for 333 yards with four touchdowns. He also ran eight times for 80 yards and two scores, moving past Steve Young and into second place in NFL history for yards rushing by a quarterback.

The Eagles set team records for total yards in a game (592), points in a half (45) and had the biggest lead after the first quarter for any NFL road team (28-0) since at least 1950.

The win moved Philadelphia (6-3) into a first-place tie with the New York Giants in the division, with both teams two games ahead of the Redskins (4-5). The Eagles are 4-0 when Vick starts and finishes the game.

A few weeks ago I gave you all Rihanna’s newest single, “What’s My Name?”  ft. Drake. The song has been blowing up on the radio & is currently No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100. The video for the song debuted yesterday, so here it is. Enjoy, because I certainly did.

This Rihanna’s latest single off her upcoming fifth studio album, “Loud” which is scheduled to be released on November 12, 2010.
