It was a very eventful weekend here at Hampton University.

For starts it was Parents Weekend. Parents visited their children and the campus from Friday through Sunday and enjoyed a number of activities catered just for them.

Parents were able to visit their child’s classroom’s, visit the museum, go on campus tours, attend the Terps concert and enjoy a parents night out reception Friday evening in the Student Center hosted by WHOV 88.1 FM.

Saturday the parents were welcomed by President, William R. Harvey, saw the Hampton Pirates win a close football game against Norfolk State and that evening enjoyed the Parents’ Golden Night Dance.

On Friday evening while the parents had fun in the Student Center at Parents night out, the students were having fun in Holland as the basketball teams hosted “Midnight Madness.”

HU had a number of students to show out, even R&B sensation Sammie. HU’s Turn It Blue also gave out tons of prizes and DJ Vince kept the night entertaining as well.
