Bryant set out last night to prove that the Western Conference was still the elite of the NBA.
Bryant scored 37 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, as well as tying a record with his fourth MVP award, leading the Western Conference to a 148-143 victory over the East on Sunday night.
LeBron James tried to bring the East back from behind, finishing with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. He joins Michael Jordan as the only players with a triple-double in the All-Star game. Amare Stoudemire scored 29 points and Kevin Durant dropped 34 points for the West.
Below are photos from last night’s game, and a clip from the game, where Kobe scores 5 of his 37 points in high fashion. Enjoy.
I would assume that everyone watched Super Bowl XLV last night, but that may not be the case.
So, if you were somewhere hiding under a rock last night, The Green Bay Packers won their first Super Bowl since Brett Favre did it for them last in ’97, 31-25 over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It is accurate to say that the Vince Lombardi Trophy is back where it belongs in Green Bay.
It was Aaron Rodgers who looked like the quarterback who had been to the championship 2 times, not Ben Roethlisberger. Rodgers went 24-39, 304 yards and 3 td’s as he won MVP honors.
